Since the physics are directly tied to the 'render engine,' you really want to keep V-Sync on (or use G-Sync) as any other setting is going to give you some strange behavior, and if you are not able to sustain a solid 60fpsframes to 60hz refresh or whatever, you will need to lower your graphic option settings, or consider upgrading system components, since otherwise you get the 'doubling effect' which is likely what you describe as a problem with tracking the ball. I've also tried setting the Zacc pinball process to run at 'above normal' priority. Lowering render quality or resolution doesn't really seem to help. I 'think' the best settings for me are to turn off the background scene and all the stuff on the second page, turn off VSync and limit frames to like 100 FPS. It's frustrating to track down because it takes some extended play to get the table busy enough to where I notice, and it seems some tables do it worse than others (Robot when the pop ups are active for example). I can't really find anything that seems to improve the situation to the point where I don't notice it. I've tried adjusting most of the graphics settings including turning off VSync, lowering the screen resolution, render quality, and turning off all the graphics settings on the second page (particle effects etc). This is hard to describe because it isn't simply that the ball slows down, it's more like the ball keeps 'most' of its pace but it is harder to track. I'm really liking Zacc pinball, but I've noticed that when things get busy on the tables that I see some significant slow down of the tracking on the ball. I love pinball IRL and the computer variety.
